I am trying to compile a list of musical instrument, pro audio, and
recording gear manufacturers. I need either a list sent to me, or a
link to find the completed list. I don't want to have to compile it
myself. This list needs to have a minimum of 250 companies, and it
needs to include the company address (Street Address, City, State,
Zip, Country) , phone numbers, and preferably E-Mail addresses. I
will be importing this info into a database.

This list needs to be current within 2 years.

Hi cgp1077-ga!

1. First of all it would be quite hard to determine if the list is
current within the last 2 years. Only the company doing the list will
know that fact.

2. The list I found is a list for more than 250 musical instrument
manufacturers but does not include recording gears or pro audio
systems. Would this be ok?

3. I am interested in answering your question, but I believe
that to answer it well, your question will require more time
and effort than the average amount of time and effort associated
with this price. Here is a link to guidelines about pricing
your question, https://answers.google.com/answers/pricing.html

Thanks!

Thanks for the interest.

To answer your questions in order:

1.) My main reason for the stipulation of the listing be within 2
years is because I've seen lists where many of the companies have been
bought - gone out of business, etc. etc. I just want to have the
cleanest list possible.

2.) I might be intersted in the list. I don't want the list if it is
like: http://www.aa4df.com/mfgrs.htm - many of those companies listed
are not really music manufacturers, and it's incomplete and not up to
date. Does the list that you've found have Mackie, Behringer, DBX and
Focusrite? Those are really big names in the industry and not found
on this list.

3.) I'm willing to pay more thatn $20 for a good, clean, and complete
list, but I didn't want to put a high price tag on the list and get
something that is going to create more work for me than it helps. I
will tip graciously for a great list!

Sorry to sound like such a stickler, but I'm trying to create a
mailing list to send out legal documents to many manufacturers, so I
want it to be right.

Thanks again for your interest and your help.

Every year, Mix Magazine puts out an industry Directory. If you could
find this - it might help. Thanks!
