Sometime within the last four years (I think), I thought I read a
review of a book that argued against the principles presented by
Stephen Covey in his 7 Habits books. I cannot find the book. Maybe I
was dreaming in dramamine. Can you find the book?

Turtelboy --

There's no way to be sure about this without getting your reaction
first, so I am posting this information as a comment instead of as an
answer. Could the book you recall be "The Witch Doctors: Making Sense
of the Management Gurus," by by John Micklethwait and Adrian
Woolridge?

It was published in 1996 and excerpted by Business Week in 1999. Here
is a link to one excerpt that has a lot of negative things to say
about Stephen Covey and his "Seven Habits . . .":

I remain curious as to whether the book I suggested in my first
clarification request ("The Witch Doctorss: Making Sense of the
Management Gurus") is the one you remember. If it is, I will post the
information as an answer, along with my search strategy, and close the
question. If it is not, I expect that other researchers would be
interested in resuming the search, hopefully with the benefit of any
further details that you recall about the book.

I couldn't find your book, but I did find two articles which criticize
the Covey books from a mainstream Christian standpoint:

And here's a description of another article that may interest you:
