I can open internet explorer and it will load webpages find, but if I
try to open a link in a new window it opens explorer but it never
loads the page. It just hangs. How can I fix this so that it opens up
the page?

Hi,

What version are you using? Have you tried reinstalling Internet
Explorer? Try to reinstall it first and see if that solves the
problem.

v6.0 and yes I have tried reinstalling, nope same problem....

Hi anon2me2,

By any chance, are you using IE6-SP1 with W2000?

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1, when used with:
Microsoft Windows 2000
SYMPTOMS
When you run Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 (SP1) on
Microsoft Windows 2000, Internet Explorer may display a blank page and
may appear to stop responding (hang).
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, install the November 2003 Cumulative Security
Update for Internet Explorer.
