Hello, I've been looking around for a printer which would allow us to print booklets or books on-demand for very low volume orders. The problem is that demand is very low and the goal is to be able to address the market with the least cost output for black and white as well as color laser prints. I've been looking at the HP 9500 model printer and the ones surrounding it as one example, but I don't know what's out there that might suite me better and I don't have good cost of output analysis. I'm interested in printing documents starting at 10 pages and all the way up to a few hundred. Of course, I'm trying to find something that would be as close as possible to my needs and I don't expect that to be addressed fully or by one machine. I'm also interested in knowing what's out there in binding options beyond the usual stapling options. Thank you. /Dusty |

My company has used the Xerox Phaser 860, provided by www.freecolorprinters.com . (You don't pay for the printer, but you agree to buy supplies from them for 2 years, and agree to a certain number of pages printed per month. We haven't had a problem keeping the minimum, and since the black ink is free, our mostly black-and-white printing allows us to keep costs low.) I highly recommend it. |
