I want to maximize my automobile insurance. I have a 1994 ford aerostar with 77,000 miles on it that we use for a few long trips a year but mostly for local trips. We ( also ) have a 2000 daewoo lanos with 23,000 miles that is only driven in lexington ky. by my wife. Both auto insurance policies are up for renewal in a couple of months and I want what could best be described as " reasonable coverage " considering the age of these cars and the fact that the daewoo is totally local and the aerostar is almost totally local. What is a reasonable coverage for both vehicldes? |

There are so many variables when it comes to auto insurance that noone could get a reasonable answer to this besides you calling companies directly. Some of the important variables that can cause great differences in your quotes are: driving history, your credit score, # and amount of previous claims, your age, your residence, where your cars are kept, deductibles, etc. If you have homeowner's insurance, you can often get a discount by having your cars with the same company. Otherwise, you may want to call AllState, State Farm, Progressive, GEICO, Liberty Mutual to get a good idea of what "reasonable" coverage will cost you. |
