A web site with a discussion board has some advantages compared to a
chat: Members can participate in discussions at any time they like
while a chat requires those who want to join a running discussion to
be present at their computer simultaneously; messages and responses
are archived so one can read them later and as often as desired;
finally, one can write longer, more extensive messages containing
useful information for others to read without a hurry.

By the way, you don't need to write a new question every time you
would like me to explain my views on your original question. Simply
log in and go to "My Account". When you see the list of questions you
have asked, click on the question where clarification has been
requested by me or any other Google Answers Researcher. Then, you can
provide additional information as you desire.
