inhibitor improves its effectiveness. Why would knowledge of the
three-dimensional structure of the bacterial enzyme help you
understand why the phosphate group improve the inhibitor's
effectiveness?

Computer based modelling of the enzyme-inhibitor complex may well
reveal the nature of the interactions of the additional phosphate
groups provide a greater understanding of it's mode of inhibition.

Sorry, there was an "and" missing there:
