Perhaps I am worrying unnecessarily but the Professor seems to have disappeared in rather mysterious circumstances. Is it too much of a coincidence, I ask myself, that he was on a secret mission to Switzerland? http://www.evo.org/sherlock/europe/reichenbach_falls.html I hope that you stressed the dangers involved when you briefed him? The hunt is up? Surely, the game is on! Has Conan the Barbarian lost a little something in translation? |

I preferred choosing an alternative phrase in order to avoid copyright troubles. But Holmes did wear a deerstalker, at least on one of the famous Strand Magazine illustrations by Sidney Paget, didn't he? So "the hunt is up" is at least not completely misplaced... |

Hmmmm, Scriptor ... A decidely lame excuse I fear but, in the interest of international relations, I will accept your explanation. But, PLEASE, do not ever ask the UK to join the Euro ... PROMISE! |

This is indeed alarming news. I had been hoping the Professor would return safely and be able to catch up with his correspondence. Later this evening I will send you details of his last-known address and the names of those academics who may be in his confidence. Perhaps you will persuade them to reveal their secrets. Leli |

These inside jokes go over real well on this site where 99% of the audience has no idea what you are talking about. Is this what Google Answers is really about? |

Hi, Leli Many thanks for bringing me some comfort. Hi, Research_help What do you mean 99%? Even I can't remember what this question is about. But I am beginning to wonder if it's anything to do with 297600? |

Bryan I've posted some information about the team researching "L'Entente internationale contre la 3e Internationale" on the page with your original question #297600. Leli |
