Best Arts & Crafts Festivals: My wife and I enjoy visiting large weekend arts and crafts festivals where high quality (expensive) artists have booths selling their wares with entertainment and a festival atmosphere in attractive locations anywhere in the US and Canada. (Cottonwood in Richardson, TX would be an example; the Sausalito Art Festival is another.) We can visit six or so a year and want to know what the best (largest and highest quality in the most scenic locations) art fairs and festivals are. I?m hoping for an informed, opinionated answer with some links for reference. Ideally an expert in this field would say, ?Don't miss X, Y, and Z but you can skip A, B, and C. Here's why . . .? |

How I find the best festivals in my area is by using this website: http://festivalnet.com. Although they don't have a list of the 'best shows,' members can rate the shows that they have been to. Also, it's handy because one of the many details they offer is '# of years' the festival has been happening, which is always a good indication of how good an event is. |
