I'm looking to rent a moving van to drive about 20 boxes of personal
effects from San Francisco, CA to Vancover, BC (Canada) at the end of
February, 2004 -- the 27th, 28th and 29th are all options. I can drop
the van off in the US (in Bellingham or Seattle) or in Canada (in
Surrey or Vancouver). Where will I get the best deal on a rental for
this move?

I don't own a car -- I need a van big enough to take about 20
book-boxes plus a few assorted knick-knacks and a bicycle, and I want
to know what's the cheapest all-in rental (including one-way fees,
gas, and the rental charge).

See if you can get a ramp trailer from U-Haul that you may tow from
your car.Usually, it is the least expansive and have a large capacity.
It may cost anywhere from $200-$300 depending on your car type.
