I am trying to find a painting or a print of this painting.  An
acquaintence bought it several years ago.  The painting is of a little
girl in a pink dress holding a white cat and the little girl is
crying.  The cat is being held on her left side.  I cannot
definitively decipher the painter's name, but it looks like:  Malando
Lengue.  Can you help me find this painting/print?

Could you tell us more about the artwork -- is it realistic or stylized/modern?

What was the medium used -- oil, acrylic, watercolor?

Can you remember any other identifying mark or detail?

I believe the painting was done in oil and it is realistic.  The
little girl has blonde hair tied in pigtails.  She appears to be
really clinging to the cat for comfort from what she is crying about. 
I'm not positively sure, but I would guess her eyes are blue.
