Question ID: 299578
I am conducting some research into past Olympic host cities and need
to find the following information for Albertville, France and
Lillehammer, Norway for an annual total in each catagory each year
from 1987 through 1997 and 1989 through 1999 respectively.

Hotel Occupancy (e.g. 75.0%)
Hotel Average Daily Rate (ADR) (e.g. $110.00 US)
Hotel Rooms Supply (# of rooms)
(All of this data should not including B&B or hostel accomodations)

Can you be of some help?

Thanks,

Eric

Eric--

Could you define the metro areas of Albertville and Lillehammer that
you're using? Are you simply using the city limits or are you
including hotels in a certain number of miles outside these cities?

Also, are you just wanting hotel information for the immediate
Olympics areas? Some Olympic events are often held outside the "host
city" but within driving distance. Should these "satellite" event
sites hotels be considered, as well?

1) Depending on available data, i would use an area of 50 miles
surrounding the metro areas of Albertville and Lillehammer, which
would include surrounding areas that were used to host some aspects of
the Games, but if that is not available, the data just from the city
limits would be sufficient for me to draw some basic conclusions. I
would also need to be able to verify the source of the information.
