I have been unable to work since november because of my hand problem.
Hence I am requesting disability insurance from state. So far i have
not received any money from State.

On November 1'st, I told my employer that i can't work and hence went
on the disability leave. In their payrolls i am still active employee.
They called me last week and asked me to give a letter from Doctor
that I am disabled from Nov 1'st.

Also I was feeling a little better last month and started to work with
a new employer once a week.

My Problem:

- I would like to work with my new employer only in future, Should i
ask my earlier employer to take me off from their payroll ? Would this
affect my disability benefits ?

- Would my working with new employer affect my disability benefits ?

- Is it even legal to take disability benefits from the state when i
have started partially working for the new employer ?

Thanks a lot in anticipation for your answers.

You might want to look at the California EDD Information booklet,
which answers some of your questions. It is available here:
