hausrath-ga:
Thank you for your Question and Clarification about getting a
streaming Internet radio link included in the Apple iTunes menu.
While Apple does manage and maintain the iTunes radio list, they do
not have a publicly available method for accepting new station
submissions. However, you are not the first to ask about how to do
this, so it is possible that you can follow in the footsteps of
others.
In December 2002, the following thread was created on the Webcasting Message Forum:
http://www.broadcast.net/pipermail/webcasting/2002-December/002497.html
In this thread, reference is made to an individual who was able to
help some folks get listed in the iTunes radio list. This same
individual is mentioned on another radio website as being influential
in getting them listed:
Dr. Yo Internet Radio
http://www.dr-yo.com/radio/
- see last point, "iTunes:" near bottom of page
However, there is a possibility that this individual is no longer
involved in the selection and maintenance of the iTunes radio list.
So, if all else fails, you should contact Apple's iTunes team directly
at:
http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html
to make your request.
I hope that this is of some assistance to you, and wish you all the
best in getting your Internet radio station listed! Please let me know
if you require any clarification to this Answer.
Thanks,
aht-ga
