My partner and I have started a company that sells t-shirts which
feature artistic prints (as opposed to company logos). Our shirts
encompass street wear and surf wear styles in mens and womens rages.
The mens range is produced in sizes up to 6XL.
We are located in Melbourne, Australia, though our t-shirts are being
manufactured in Singapore.
We wish to export our shirts to the USA, Canada and the UK.
We are having trouble sourcing lists of importers/distributors & retailers to
approach. We need to have email addresses or websites for them as the
time difference proves tricky.
The actual question at this stage is as follows:
Please provide us with a set of the below lists for each country (US, UK & Canada).
1. Clothing Importers/Distributors
2. Retail chains of Surf/Street wear (they stores need not be
exclusively dedicated to these)
3. Retail Chains of big mens clothing. (ie stocking sizes of XXL on up)
As mentioned before we must have email addresses or website addresses.
We believe each list should be a minimum of 50 contacts. Though this
is negotiable through the comments section if this proves impractical.
There is no maximum number. We would appreciate it if the lists are
broken into major stores/companies first, followed by the rest at the
discretion of the researcher.
We are happy to negogiate through the comments section if you need
further information or you have suggestions for us.
If you consider that you are able to do this but do not think that the
fee is enough to cover your time please tell us as we are happy to
negotiate. |

Hi!
For the 3 sets of list you said you require 50 companies. Does this
mean 50 companies each for the UK, USA or Canada? Or 50 companies all
in all as long as the company is based in any of those 3 countries?
Thanks! :)

Hi!
We really want at LEAST 50 companies per list, per country. Which
would equal 9 lists of 50 companies.
It would be great if they were longer that!!!
We are quite happy to increase the fee, if that would result in more
names per list.
Please advise.

If these lists have to be manually created, I would think that $50 per
list is reasonable; so that would translate to $150 for one country.
Also, when you say "chains," there literally might not be 50 chains of
oversize mens clothing.
The other option is for one of us to track down fee-based databases.
For example, I have found one already that gives you a few thousand
importers for under $400.

We accept your comments and would like to alter the question accordingly:
We require three lists manually composed by yourself. All three lists
require either email address or websites and are for companies based
in the UK only.
List 1. Clothing imorters/distributors
2. Surf/street wear retail chains
3. Large menswear retail chains/stores
If there is not enough reatil chains to make up the list, please use
individual stores. (bigger stores would be better but I suspect you'd
have no way of determining their size so do what you think is best).
The fee is $50 per list, which equals $150 as suggested.

I would be willing to do 150 items as a mix of the three locations
(mostly US and UK). Please let me know if that's OK.

For example, there might only be approximately 24-25 UK "oversized
menswear" outlets worth mentioning in the list.

A mix of the three countries will be OK. please proceed.
Just curious as to why it is easier to do a mix of three countries
rather than one exclusively?

assk -
Due to the unforeseen time involved with this question, I'm going to
suggest a reworking of it.
I have assembled a list of 50 oversize menswear stores. That's $50 worth.
Would you be interested either of the following:
A) Lower the price of this question to $50 and repost 2 other
questions for other researchers to tackle at $50 a piece.
or
B) Lower the price of this question to $75, and I will provide you
with the oversize clothing links as well as links to paid databases
for importers (one of which is $65 and looks very promising --
hundreds if not thousands of importer contacts, many more than what
you would get from the 50 requested; another is $32.77 and gives you
access to 113). I recommend this option, since I don't believe mining
a list of importers by hand is pragmatic. You can then post another
question on here for $50 to obtain 50 surfwear/streetwear stores.
Thanks,
jbf

Hi,
Just a quick question regarding option B. Do the list services you are
talking about provide email address with the names?
If so I will take that option. If not then option A.

Actually, how about $100 for option "B" which you outlined above, plus
telling me how you would proceed in creating the surf/street wear
list. ie what databases you would hit, search criteria
etc.???????????????????
Let me know what you want to do.

I will include some search terms you could use. We can do $75, and if
you wish to add a tip, you can add whatever amount you'd like, if at
all. And yes, the importers have email addresses.
