Backgroud:
I am going to a 120 day "world tour" vacation next Summer (Croatia,
Serbia&Montenegro, Russia, Siberia, India, Japan, Australia, Galapagos
Islands, Brazil (Amazon) and then back to my home country - Italy). I
am an experienced photographer with "traditional" cameras but no clue
about the electronic ones. I know well C and a little PHP / HTML. I'd
like to have a photo blog of my trip. I will buy a digital camera
(budget 500-700 USD)and a tri-band phone (budget 300 USD).
Question:
- best cameras / phone / software options, taking in account I'd like
to upload the pics / text from my phone connection, I would rather not
travel with a laptop and avoid internet cafès. I'd need also a small
keyboard to type (long) captures and texts. (Blackberry + Bluetooth
enabled camera?) Ideally, I'd like to upload also hand sketches (Anoto pen?)
- which blog service would support (I already have a ipowerweb.com hosted site):
* image blog from mobile / email
* need to upload both thumbnail pics and larger hires pics, viewer of
blog should be able to get to larger hires pics by clicking through
the thumbnail pics.
* need to upload (Anoto pen?) sketches and texts
I need a easy, reliable solution to focus on enjoying my trip more then having
to deal with a lot of cables and technicalities. :-)
