I'm in search of a new telephone answering machine (with or without
telephone handset) with a particular Caller ID feature.

At present, I have an old Casio-Phonemate TA-140 which varies the
number of rings for incoming calls depending on the presence or
absence of Caller ID information. For example, I have calls without
Caller ID data go to the answering machine after only one ring; but
calls _with_ Caller ID info ring for four times before going to the
answering machine. It's a great way to screen out telemarketers on a
home telephone.

But this machine is getting old, and I haven't been able to find a
replacement that I'm sure has this same feature. I'm hoping that an
enterprising researcher can find me a place to buy such a phone online
that definitely has that feature.

Again, the new machine can either be a standalone answering machine
(like the TA-140) or a combined phone/answering machine.

Thanks.

If you'd be interested in acquiring a new Casio TA-140, I found one
place online that apparently still has them in stock:

Thank you very much for the suggestion and location of another TA-140.
I may end up turning to that option, but for now, I'm hoping to find a
newer model of answering machine.
