Kiss-A-PigŪ is one of the Association's unique fund raising campaigns.
To "honor" the pig for aiding in discovering the effectiveness of
insulin for people with diabetes, participants compete with each other
to see who can raise the most money. The participant who raises the
most money, usually a CEO or business executive, earns the honor of
greeting the Kiss-A-Pig pig with a kiss. This greeting occurs at the
final rally, sometimes a dinner party or gala. Kiss-A-Pig events take
place in more than 30 cities nationwide, and raise hundreds of
thousands of dollars for the Association.
