Question ID: 300409
Background:

This is a toolbox on wheels that breaks down into 3 parts. It was
made by ZAG Industries in Israel before Stanley bought them.
(www.zag.co.il) The folks at Stanley-ZAG (888-628-4455) claim that
Home Depot and Pep Boys in the US should have them. Home
Depot (800-553-3199) claims the item has been discontinued by the
manufacturer, as does Pep Boys. In Canada, Reno Depot should have
them, but they haven't responded to my email inquiry from 10 days ago.
Amazon.com and various mail order catalogs (Jensen Tools, Contact
East, Industrial Pipe & Steel, Ben Meadows Company, Lab Safety Supply,
E-sci.com etc.) all carried this toolbox at one time, but no longer
do. Efforts on ebay.com, half.com and uk websites have been
fruitless.

I live in Atlanta, GA, but I'm willing to buy this from anywhere in
the world, new or used. The toolbox must be an exact match. I'm not
interested in equivalents, earlier or later models and so on.

Please help me if you can, thanks!

Hello Monique,

This was a challenge all right. But I finally did locate a single
unit of the model 20602Z, so please move fast to obtain it.

The dealer that has it is actually one you contacted already --
Industrial Pipe and Steel. The reason (probably) that they told you
they don't have the item is because they no longer carry it, have none
in stock, and it doesn't show up in their database.

HOWEVER, they do have an unsold display unit on hand. I'm told it's
in "quite good" condition. Amazingly, they're asking only $89 for it.

Call 'em fast. Their phone number is (800) 423-4981. Ask for Javier,
and remind him that he's already spoken to your "associate" (that
would be me) and that you're now ready to make the purchase.

All the best. If you run into any problems whatsoever, just let me
know by posting a Request for Clarification, and I'll be happy to
assist you further.

Holy smokes! David, (that's your name right?) you're unbelievable! I
found your answer at 8pm ET, grabbed the phone right away, and the
toolbox is on its way! And here I had visions of having to import the
thing from Israel or some other godforsaken place halfway around the
earth... :)

Javier and I had a nice chat, and the condition is plenty good enough
for me. All thanks to you. There's a nice tip coming your way,
enjoy!
