How do I look up a Commercial Item Description A-A-52030 II-1-B-1? Is
there a location to look up any CID code?

Actually, I need the underlying document - the details associated with
the CID code - not just a list of numbers / titles. Thanks

Hello huskycorp-ga,

Thanks for the question.

The document you're seeking is available online, but, boy, they sure
don't make it easy to find it.

There isn't a link available that will take you directly to the document.

Instead, you have to click through various search menus at the Defense
Logistics Agency's website.

For starters, head here:

http://www.dsp.dla.mil/

On the left-hand side of the page will be a link for "Online Specs".
Click this, and it takes you to a page titled:

Online Documents
(Specs & Standards on the Web)

Halfway down the first screen is a link to "Quick Search". Click on
this, and it pulls up a search screen.

In the box for "Document ID" enter:

A-A-52030

and click "Submit".

[NOTE: this is a very sensitive search system...at first I included a
space after A-A-52030, and the system didn't recognize it!]

This will take you to an informational page. Click on the link for A-A-52030.

This takes you to ANOTHER informational page! Near the very top, is
an icon (looking like report pages) for retrieving the actual document
itself. Click on it, and it opens up YET ANOTHER informational page
with a link to the "base document". Click on this link, and, finally,
it opens up an 8-page pdf file poetically titled:

NOZZLES, FUEL AND OIL SERVICING, NONAUTOMATIC SHUTOFF AND NOZZLES,
FUEL SERVICING, AUTOMATIC SHUTOFF

The specs for II-1-B-1 nozzle are strewn throughout the document, but
in a nutshell, it refers to an automatic shutoff nozzle (type II) for
either a 3/4 inch or 1-inch hose (size 1), for unleaded gasoline
(Class B), with a curved spout (Style 1).

There...wasn't that easy!

Let me know if you have any difficulties accessing the document. I'll
be glad to provide whatever additional information I can to make the
process as simple (hah!) as possible.

Do any of these applications meet your needs?

http://apps.fss.gsa.gov/pub/fedspecs/index.cfm

Here's a "Numeric List of Federal Specifications and Commercial Item Descriptions":

http://apps.fss.gsa.gov/pub/fedspecs/fedspecs.cfm?sort=1&firstTime=Y&RequestTimeout=500

And here you can search by document number:
