Dear penyu1818
Thank you for your question. I hope you will find the information
below useful. Please request a question clarification if you would
like further information.
A. The most useful site I found was the Ministry of Women and Family
Development page:
http://www.kpwk.gov.my/en/talian_hiv_en.shtml
It has a list of associations/agencies that provide HIV/AIDS-related
information and support. The page lists Support Hotlines, Residences
for People Living with HIV/AIDS, and Drop in Centres. Telephone
numbers only are given for most of these.
Towards the end of the page (scroll down to the heading "Affiliates
for MAC") there is a list of 34 organizations, with full postal
addresses, email addresses and telephone numbers, that offer AIDS/HIV
information and/or support. The list continues on the following pages:
[numbers 11-31]
http://www.kpwk.gov.my/en/talian_hiv2_en.shtml
[numbers 32-34]
http://www.kpwk.gov.my/en/talian_hiv3_en.shtml
Only a few of these organizations appear to have websites, and only a
few of the website links were working today. The three most useful
from your point of view appear to be:
1. Federation of Family Planning Associations, Malaysia [number 8 on the list]:
"FFPAM's involvement with HIV/AIDS extends to the development of the
AIDS/STD Module for Family Life Education. Their seminars, talks,
workshops, youth camps, and other activities which target youth and
the general public also incorporate healthy lifestyle messages and
HIV/AIDS education. FFPAM also provides information on HIV/AIDS at its
state outlets via youth clinics and youth advisory centres."

B. There is a lot of information on AIDS at the Department of
Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) site, but it is not in English
so I'm afraid I cannot comment on its usefulness:
http://www.dosh.gov.my/hiv/whivaid.htm
AIDS organizations are listed at:
"Senarai Agensi Dan Pertubuhan Bukan Kerajaan Yang Menyediakan
Perkhidmatan Berhubung Hiv/Aids":
http://www.dosh.gov.my/hiv/koda/lamp2.html
C. The UKM AIDS homepage looked as if it would be useful, but for some
reason the site was inaccessible when I tried it - perhaps the problem
will be fixed soon:
http://www.commhlth.medic.ukm.my/aids/aids.htm
You could look at Google's cache of this page (a snapshot of how the
page looked when Google indexed it):
to see if you think it would be useful to you.
I hope you find this information is useful in your research.
Kind regards
