Hello donaki-ga:

I tried to find as many options for you as I could: conferences, trade
shows, booking agencies, etc.

If you don't already have video and audio tapes of your act to submit
to event organizers and talent agencies, I strongly urge that you
prepare those items! It may be well worth the investment to have a
professional video company (such as ones that videotape weddings and
Bar Mitzvahs) tape your performance.

Booking Agents/Talent Registries:

At "Jewish Entertainment":
http://www.jewishentertainment.net/frameset.html
You can register for free and advertise your services. You can also
post a sound clip of your act for event organizers -- and others
seeking Jewish entertainers -- to sample.

At the same site, at this link:
http://216.239.51.104/search?q=cache:7PYxMS5zi1MJ:www.jewishentertainment.net/links.html+agent+%22Jewish+entertainment%22+&hl=en&ie=UTF-8
I found a talent agent for Jewish-based acts:
"Linda Yelnick, GIGZ - Agent for Jewish Performers, 520 South El
Camino Real, Suite 320, San Mateo CA 94402,
Phone/Fax (650) 692-1763 leahhaifa@usa.net "

Here's more information on Yelnick from "The Jewish Bulletin News":
http://www.jewishsf.com/bk020628/supp1a.shtml

Via "Jewish Entertainment," I also found Jeri Goldstein's "Be Your Own
Booking Agent" site:
http://www.nmtinc.com/

The talent/event agency "Booking Entertainment: Maryland, Virginia, and D.C.":
http://www.entertainment-exchange.com/about_us/about_booking.htm
has a roster of talent for events that include Bar Mitzvahs.
Contact them at:
info@entertainment-exchange.com

"Jeffrey Craig Entertainment has been New York, New Jersey, and
Pennsylvania's #1 entertainment company."
http://www.jeffreycraig.com/
Click "Skip Intro," then give it a few minutes to load this page:
http://www.jeffreycraig.com/main.php
"Whether your planning a Bar Mitzvah, Bat Mitzvah, Wedding, Corporate
party, Sweet Sixteen or any other occasion we have entertainment for
you."

You'll likely have to audition for Craig, but he may be interested in
adding you to his roster of entertainers.

Jewish Events/Conferences:

The National Foundation For Jewish Culture: The NLC aims to nurture
and build visibility for and appreciation of the arts and humanities
in Jewish life through:
supporting new Jewish voices in the arts and humanities.
creating venues for exposure for emerging Jewish artists.
developing new audiences for NFJC programs."
See:
http://www.jewishculture.org/nlc/nlc.html

They have a link for "Performing Arts"
http://www.jewishculture.org/docs/performing_arts.html
Contact them at: (212) 629-0500; E-mail nfjc@jewishculture.org

At:
http://www.aviso.net/dir/usa/jewish/events/
see a long list of Jewish cultural and entertainment events.

Click on any link that interests you and then look around that page to
find "program director" or "contact person." At some sites it's not
easy to find that person ASAP. For instance, Chicago's "Greater
Chicago Jewish Folk Arts Festival":
http://www.pocet.org/
You won't see a contact person right away. So click "About The
Festival" in the tool bar. At the bottom of the page, see contact
info:
"Contact us at info@pocet.org
P.O. Box 5215, Skokie, IL 60076
Phone: 847-933-3000"

"Machers Directory: Your Gateway to the Jewish Community":
http://www.machers.com/directory/Events/index.html
has a long list of clickable links to various Jewish events around the
country. That page loaded a little messy for me, but the links do
work. I tried "Plan It Jewish":
http://www.planitjewish.com/
"Find 1000's of events for the San Francisco Bay Area and Twin Cities
Jewish communities." You have the option of searching for event in San
Francisco or in the MN Twin Cities region, by clicking on those links
to the right.

For one example, by going through links of events for San Francisco, I
found "Fundays Sundays":
http://bayarea.planitjewish.com/jp/events?page=1&location=home&ID=251397
At the bottom of the page you'll see a contact person and contact info.

Kosher Trade Shows:

Your most valuable resource is "Kosher Today" magazine:
http://www.koshertodaymagazine.com/newsletter/

The front page of the current edition notes an upcoming show in Atlanta:
"Plans for Kosher Shows in Atlanta and Buenos Aires Announced
Atlanta (www.koshertoday.com) Plans for Southeast Kosher Festival as
well as ArgenKosher were recently announced. The second edition of the
Southeast show takes place on February 22nd at the Congregation Beth
Jacob. Organizer Roberta Scher says that the ? festival has expanded
with more vendors, more attendees and more space."

Here's a link to the Southeast Kosher Festival:
http://southeastkosherfestival.com/
The contact page is:
http://southeastkosherfestival.com/contact_us.htm

I found several references to "Kosher World" listing trade shows:
http://www.kosherworld.com/
The site isn't working at the moment, but keep trying it.

Another great resource is The Maven Directory: The Leading Jewish Web
Directory & Search Engine":
http://www.maven.co.il/subjects.asp?ID=10&S=186

Using Maven's search engine, I typed in "festivals" and was rewarded
with three pages of relevant links at:
http://www.maven.co.il/search.asp
including:

"Yiddishkayt Los Angeles"
http://www.yiddishkaytla.org/
Click "Calendar" in box at left to bring up an extensive listing of
Jewish-related events.

"Kosher Fest" will be held in NYC in October 2004:
http://www.kosherfest.com/

A "Jewish Expo" planned for 2003 has been postponed until 2004:
http://www.jewishexpo.com/
There's litte information there, but you will see contact info at that page:
Contact info:
Yiddishkayt Los Angeles
3780 Wilshire Blvd., suite 910
Los Angeles. CA, 90010
PH: 323/692-8151
FX: 213/365-0702
E: mail yiddishkayt@yiddishkaytla.org

"The Kosher World" Expo was already held this year:
http://www.showsmart.com/Shows/Kosher-World-Expo-&-Conference-2004-ss-13062.html
But you may want to contact organizers in hopes of getting booked for
the 2005 Expo.

The South Florida Kosher Festival will be held this May:
http://fort.lauderdale.eventguide.com/Fort_Lauderdale_Event/100138.htm
I wasn't able to find any other information on it, but you can call
the phone number you'll see on that page.

According to the "Kosher Commercial Information and Links" page:
http://www.kashrut.com/trade/trade_links/
the Fancy Foods convention (held in 3 different cities) also includes kosher foods:
http://www.specialtyfood.com/do/about/Organization
Contact:
http://www.specialtyfood.com/do/about/Contact

Party Planners:

"Bar Mitzvah Find It"
http://www.barmitzvahfindit.com/cgi-bin/main.cgi?Planners&0
You'll see about a dozen agencies that provide entertainment for Bar
Mitzvahs, most of them located in the Northeast.

"Bar Mitzvah Party Planning":
http://www.barmitzvahs.org/
Will let you search for party planners in every state.

Other Resources:
"The Jewish Week" e-zine lists events:
http://www.thejewishweek.com/middle/show_art_main2.php3

The Greenberg Center at the University of Hartford holds Yiddish and
Jewish programs and festivals:
http://www.hartford.edu/newsevents/releases/details.asp?id=505

Yiddish of Greater Washington:
http://www.ibiblio.org/yiddish/ygw/ygw-m1.html
holds Jewish festivals and events. Their contact info is at the top of that page.

Search Strings:

"agent 'Jewish entertainment' "
"agent 'Bar Mitzvah entertainment' "
" 'bar mitzvah' AND act"
" 'Jewish talent' showcases"
"Jewish events"
"Jewish products conventions"
" 'Jewish conferences' AND entertainment"
"Jewish showcase"
"Kosher shows"
"kosher trade shows"
"Jewish AND 'party planners' "

I hope my research is of help to you. Please post a "Request For
Clarification" if you need help navigating any of the above links, or
if you need me to clarify any of the information I've given you.

P.S. I'm sorry: I neglected to make this point: I wasn't able to find
any sort of cattle call auditions, such as the day-long or two-day
events you'd mentioned, using such strings as:

"audition AND 'trade shows'"
"audition AND Bar Mitzvah"
"audition AND Jewish AND agent"
"agent AND 'Jewish acts'"
"agent AND 'Jewish acts'"

That's why I suggested you have a video made of your performance, then
have a number of copies made, to send to various booking agencies and
trade show coordinators.
