I need a perl function "breakup" that takes a string ($content) and
makes sure that no line in it is longer than $length (lines are
defined as delimited by $delimiter). If lines longer than $length are
found the function will "half" such lines by inserting $delimiter in
the middle until all of the resulting lines are shorter than $length.

The function would be used like this:

$content2 = breakup ($content,$delimiter,$length)
