Hello.

I am looking for the 2004 Olympic qualification schedule for the Iraq
Mens Soccer Team. (They are through to what I believe is the final
leg of regional qualifiers.)

So I need to know:
1) what is the Olympic qualifying schedule for the Iraq men's football
team in 2004? (opponents, dates, and home-or-away)
2) is the current round of qualifiers (the round that they will soon
start playing) the final round before Athens?

Many thanks,

bbull

Dear bbull,

1) Below, I provided a table with the coming qualification matches of
the Iraqi Olympic football men's team, including dates, opponents, and
information on whether the Iraqi team is playing home or away. Please
note that the previous "home" qualification matches of the Iraqi team
were played in Amman (Jordan) and Damascus (Syria), respectively. So
it is possible that, due to the current situation in their own
country, the coming Iraqi "home" matches will also take place in a
neighboring country. The Asian Football Association still lists the
locations as "To Be Announced".

2) The next qualification round, starting for Iraq on 3 March with the
match against Oman, will be the final round before the Olympic Games.

Games of the XXVIII. Olympiad
Football Qualifying Tournament

- Asia -

Final Qualifying Round, Group C, Iraq's Matches

 3 March 2004 Iraq (home) - Oman
17 March 2004 Saudi Arabia - Iraq (away)
24 March 2004 Iraq (home) - Kuwait
14 April 2004 Kuwait - Iraq (away)
28 April 2004 Oman - Iraq (away)
12 May 2004 Iraq (home) - Saudi Arabia

Scriptor -

I guess you didn't see my clarification, stating that I'd found the
answer myself and didn't need any help.

You did do some very good work here. And you tried to help before.
So I would certainly like to avoid any hard feelings.

What is the best way to deal with this, given my clarification?

Thanks.
