I and two friends have enjoyed playing Warcraft 3 together over the
past year but we have tired of the game and are looking for other
games to try. We have enjoyed Warcraft 3 because it always the three
of us to play together as a team against computer opponents or other
human players. However, at the moment we are tired of the Real-Time
Strategy Genre and are looking for a different type of game.

Unfortunately, it seems difficult to find good (non-RTS) PC games that
allow for small (3 person) team play. Sites like Gamespy provide
reviews of many games and often the reviews talk some about
multiplayer aspects, but the site doesn't seperate out games that
allow for team play.

Ideally, what I'd like to find is a website the focuses on multiplayer
gaming that provides reviews or listings of PC games that support team
play. With all the gaming sites out there it seems likely that there's
some site that highlights cooperative multiplayer (or team
multiplayer) games, but so far my searchs have not yielded such a
site.

Would you also be interested in games were the teams are not set per
say, but where you could certainly play together? I am thinking of
games such as Star Wars Galaxies or Asheron's Call (Massively
Multiplayer Online Roleplayer Games)?

belief is that I am not interested in such games. I believe I am
looking for small scale multiplayer games with a cooperative or team
aspect.

I am not sure exactly what you are looking for. As I understand it,
you are looking for non-RTS and non-MMORPG. That does cut out a huge
slice of multiplayer games.

You may however want to look into downloading the demo for Tribes and
Tribes 2 to see if you like that game.
