I have created a mail merge from an excell spread sheet and mailmerged
it to a word document to create an invoice. The excell cells have
been formatted as numbers to 2 decimal places but on my word document
some show correctly, will not show nil figs after decimal points and
some take th fig to 9 decimal places. here are a few examples:
Excell Word
                                   2.34 2.2999999994
                                   5.00 5
Please help to provide a solution.

Hello Lol5916,

Hmm. You may need to explain more fully how the data from Excel is
brought into Word for the mail merge.

What I suggest first is to try the following in Excel - under
Preferences, select Calculation, and then Precision as Displayed. When
you select OK, you may get a warning that precision may be lost -
select OK for that as well. This is a per file setting that truncates
values to the decimal places displayed in calculations. Adjust cell
formats if needed to display the value the way you want it. Then run
the mail merge again to see what the result is.

If this works, please let me know so I can write up a proper answer.
If not, try describing the method you are bringing the data into Word
from Excel so I can repeat the results you get and suggest a better
solution.
