activity you are seeking?  Exchange volume? Something else?  And for
what period exactly? (2 days prior, 2 weeks prior...?)

As my colleague has noted, you'll want to be specific about what market activity:
*  which country (researchers don't know where you're located)
*  what exchange (in the U.S. it could be NYSE, AMEX, NASDAQ or even CBOE)
*  what numbers you're seeking -- highs, lows, trading volume, numbers
shares up/down/unchanged

there was some acticvity in choice and volume which raised the
question some people knew of the comingn attack of 9/11 presumably
before the date by some two weeks up to the date.
