Is AMMONIATED MERCURY OINTMENT safe to use on an abraided tail wound on a dog?

Hi timwda,

I'd highly recommend you first consult with your veterinarian before
using anything on an abraded wound. The vet will know what's best for
your dog after evaluating the extent of the wound.  In addition your
dog might try to lick the wound where the ointment has been applied
and it must not be toxic to the animal.
