Hi timwda, I'd highly recommend you first consult with your veterinarian before using anything on an abraded wound. The vet will know what's best for your dog after evaluating the extent of the wound. In addition your dog might try to lick the wound where the ointment has been applied and it must not be toxic to the animal. Here's some information on Ammoniated Mercury Ointment. http://www.drugs.com/index.cfm?pageID=0&htm=202030&type=cons&bn=Ammoniated%20Mercury&micr=medex Best regards, tlspiegel |
