GPA Calculator 1) Program must allow students to define the following: a. Class b. Grade c. Credit hours d. Student Name e. Indicate the Semester f. Part Time or Full Time status 2) Up to 6 courses can be entered 3) User should be able to print the GPA 4) The school name and address should displayed 5) Credit Hours: min = 1, max = 4 6) Program should warn student if their GPA falls below the ?probation threshold? (GPA < 2.0). 7) Program should indicate when you?re on the Dean?s List (GPA >= 3.4). 8) User should be able to indicate whether course is within the professional curriculum for their major. (This is an optional feature.) 9) User needs to be able to enter grades A ? E, W (withdraw), I (incomplete) 10) Program should provide help for casual / first time users. This help feature can be implemented using tool tips and an external users guide. This should be a different document than the README.TXT file which instructs the user on how to install the application, who to contact for support, etc. |

Writing extra help files/code to support the program will double the total work and time for development. $50 is too little, even if you choose to write this in Access (which is the method i would suggest to anyone willing to do this). |

Also, Maybe this project could be given to some of the students as a senior project or could be applied to a course. At my school there were a group of students who updated our entire IT network as their senior project. And, My husband worked on a project like this for his senior project before he graduated. Just a thought. Good Luck. |
