Hi, I am looking for repositories (or a list of sites, basically) of
recent (1999-2004), downloadable PHD theses in the following fields:
HCI, CSCW, ubiquitous computing, single display groupware, situated
displays, social networking, specifically those with a human-centred
or sociological slant.

To clarify, a list of URLs with short descriptive sentences would be
great. I'd like the actual thesis documents, not just abstracts, etc.

PhD dissertations are available through on-line commercial services.
Are you willing to pay for the copies of the theses, or are you
looking for freebies only?

Hello Pafalafa,

thank you for your request for clarification. I would like to avoid
these on-line commercial services. i.e. I am not interested in them,
only theses which are publically (and freely) available. (I do not
like the idea of buying something if I am not sure of it's quality or
value to me)

I think that many university libraries do keep copies of students' phd
theses, which I believe are publicly available if you know how to get
them.

thanks again,

- Harry
