Each headlights have 2 adjustment screws located at the back of each headlight. One is for vertical alignment and the other one is for horizontal alignment. Just take a look at it. It should be easy to find and accessible because you have to adjust them while they are mounted so nothing should get in the way. He vertical aiming is located on the back of the headlight that is near the fender while the horizontal aiming is located on the part of the headlight near the front grille. As for tool, all you need is a philips screw driver and a good wall to aim at. Let me know when you find them (the alignment screws) so that i can teach you how to align them properly. |

ECHO drivers unite!! Yeah, I think the lights in my ECHO are aimed high as well. Thanx for the instructions Pomster, I'll find a wall and a screwdriver and see if I can get those things down a bit. |

Well, when I initially posted the question, it was because I had already been to the car with screwdriver in hand and couldn't find what I was looking for. I didn't find two adjusters per headlight, just one. And, it wasn't a phillips head. If I remember correctly, it was some sort of triangular plastic thingie for which I had never seen a proper tool. Adjusting it with my fingers was clumsy and slow, interrupted by massaging out the cramps in my hand for the awkward reach. I was hoping to find a schematic diagram from Toyota, or instructions to a mechanic for doing the adjustment. |
