I certainly agree with you that the original Chip 'N' Dale cartoons
were much better than the later "Rescue Rangers" TV show.
Unfortunately, your choices are somewhat limited at the moment. In the
late 1980s and early 1990s, a nice series of classic Disney cartoon
shorts came out on VHS. Volumes 9 and 12 of the series were
collections of Chip 'N' Dale cartoons of early vintage. The bad news
is that these are no longer being produced. The good news is that they
are not difficult to find on the used-tape market. Below I've listed
quite a few used-tape sources for you, and a couple of merchants who
may have new copies in stock.

Here is a useful list of the 24 Chip 'N' Dale cartoons of the '40s and
'50s. This is where I found the dates that I appended to the cartoon
titles listed above:

If you'd like a synopsis of a particular title, with some charming
still shots from the cartoons, this is a great resource. Just click on
the name of the cartoon short. You can also download the original Chip
'N' Dale theme music:

"Adventures of Chip 'N' Dale" was once issued on an old-style CAV
laserdisk, and it seems likely that Disney will, at some point, bring
out a DVD collection to satisfy the many Baby Boomers who yearn for
the Chip 'N' Dale classics of their childhood. There is, as yet, no
mention of when this is likely to happen. I predict that the "Rescue
Rangers" series will appear on DVD first, since it appeals to a
younger audience; we Boomers will just have to wait our turn.
Google search strategy:
Google Web Search: "disney" + "chip 'n' dale" + "vhs OR dvd"

I hope this helps you to obtain these wonderful cartoons for your
children! If anything is unclear or incomplete, or if a link doesn't
