Hi, I have a black pigmented lesion on one of my eyelids. It has been there for a number of years and I am planning to remove it. I did some research and I found that the most common way to remove it is to use laser. The Laser Removal Procedure uses laser of a specific wavelength that is more absorbable by the pigment cells. The pigment cells will die after they are exposed to this laser. (http://www.lasaway.com/home/agespotqanew.html) I already know two negative side effects of this Laser Removal Procedure: 1. It will leave a light scar on the pigmented area 6 months to a year after the surgery 2. It is very painful My question is: I want to know any negative side effects associated with this Laser Removal Procedure. (Other than the two I mentioned above) Specifically, since my pigment is on my EYELID, what effect will it have on my EYES? (e.g. can you find a testimonial of someone who went blind or had serious eye problems due to a laser removal surgery on eyelids?) Thanks! |
