I know pinkfreud is a dog person, so I'd please like to give her first dibs on
this question.
missed the Nova presentation last night but there was a clip preview here:
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/preview/i_3103.html
I'm interested in Dino and if he has a resume other than his
Fabreze(?) commercial. he looks familiar. I was curious if you could
find anything else out about him (owner? agent? trainer? future
projects?)
and is that Parker Stevenson with the eyepiece??
thanks ever so much!

That Nova show about dogs was just wonderful, Granny! I'm sure they
will show it again sometime so that you can see it. I taped it, and
all three of our dogs watched the program with hubby and me. Thanks to
the wonders of videotape, we could summon up "instant replay" of the
best parts. I think my dogs believe that humans, being gods, can
rewind and replay real life at will, too. And, of course, we cause the
sun to rise and set, make the flowers bloom in springtime, and hung
the moon in the starry expanse. Not to mention that we know how to use
a can-opener.
I'm following the scent of Dino the Febreze-sprayin' dawg. Will let
you know if I find anything.

One piece of good news for Granny: the show will be rerun this
Saturday, and again on Sunday.
Still sniffing after Dino. I reran the closing credits of my tape, but
the only mention related to the segment about Dino was a thank-you to
Procter & Gamble for supplying the footage from the Febreze
commercial.

Oops. Sorry I reposted my first remarks. They weren't ready for a
rerun quite yet. ;-)

well, I've had a devil of a time trying to answer you with those
infernal 'unable to process' messages.
I was hoping you'd seen this show and might have taped it. had my
fingers crossed the info would be in the closing credits too.
if I'm not mistaken Dino (or a lookalike) might have been on a flea or
heart worm commercial but I'm not positive. (Advantage? Advantix?)
it was definitely something other than another Fabreze ad although I
didn't realize he'd been in six of them!
this is probably some difficult research but I was hoping there was a
whorepresents for pets and you might be able to whip it outta your
magic hat.
most definitely I'll catch a reairing of this program. and, for the
record, Dino is much sexier than Harrison Ford in my book -- but then
granny has an odd barometer. that face is just *too* sweet.
don't stress over this if the info is too hard to find. I can't give
you much to go on (like a last name), I'm afraid.

There's a small mention of Dino here:
"Dino the dog wasn't just another handsome face. He got the acting job
because of his ability to release a squirt bottle trigger with his
paw.
Dino's new life - more glamorous than his old one in the Las Vegas
pound - is now focused on helping to sell fabric deodorizer. The cute
mixed-breed is featured in 'Dogs and More Dogs,' a public television
NOVA show that show celebrates man's best friend."

I'm now emailing my friends in the animal-rescue community to ask
whether they know anyone with connections to the Las Vegas pound.
Appropriate to his name, it sounds as if Dino may have been part of a
doggie version of "Ocean's 11" there. ;-)
