I am looking for the Model, Year, block weight, and firewall-forward
weight of stock Honda Civics 1996 --> current (inclusive) for sale in
the US. This information is to be used in deciding a powerplant for a
hobby surface effect vehicle (hovercraft).

Please provide a reference to the source document for acquired weight values.
No preference on metric or imperial measurement. However please use
lbs not slugs for imperial. ;-)

Context / Question reasoning to help in providing an answer.
?	Honda is initially selected due to reliability, fuel efficiency,
large MOD market, and ECU reprogramming. They are also easy to find
at local auto salvage dealers.

?	1996 and above is chosen for OBDII compatibility to interface with a
Linux powered digital dash and engine performance diagnostic analyzer
and logger.
?	The block weight and FwF weight are desired as many components such
as Air-conditioning, transmission, and clutch are not required to
operate the lift and thrust fans. My ultimate goal (although not
required in this answer is to determine the weight of the block and
minimum components to start and run the engine (minus wiring harness
and ECU))

Personal Search Results.
?	Very limited data was found on the net. Somewhat better luck was
obtained through the local university?s subscription to SAE. (most
papers and articles either referred to non production models or
referred to weigh as a percentage savings from a previous model)
?	No information was found in Chiltons
?	Scouring crate engine vendor websites for shipping weight did not pan out.
?	Posting to forums resulted in ?Me 2? responses.
?	No data found at Honda or Sport Compact racing websites.
?	I suspect there may be more pertinent data in Japanese language
content. (My kanji is very rusty)

Thanks!
