There seems to be a growing number of teens playing musical
instruments in the United Kingdom.  I want to know as much information
about this trend as possible: numbers of teens playing instruments,
instruments played and by what ages and sexes.

I just took up the guitar last July at age 18, not having had any
musical background my parents were a bit surprised. Still, I'm
enjoying it and getting quite good now :-).  Not many of my friends do
play instruments, but many have said they would like to learn.
