Hi I've recently noticed my modem connection becoming rather slow at certain times. I looked in the task manager and noticed a program called P2P networking. I turned it off thinking it was sapping bandwidth but it just reappears! What is it? What would happen if I deleted the actual program? Is it eating all my bandwidth? Many thanks, Yellowsub |

Hi yellowsub!! P2P Networking.exe is an adware that kazaa and may be others p2p software install in your PC. P2P Networking installs in "%SystemDir%\P2P Networking\". Note: %SystemDir% is a variable. By default, this is C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me), C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000), or C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP). Follow the instructions on this page to remove it: "P2P Networking" at PstPatrol site: http://www.pestpatrol.com/pestinfo%5Cp%5Cp2p_networking.asp See also the following pages for references: "P2P Networking - Removal instructions" http://www.kephyr.com/spywarescanner/library/p2pnetworking/index.phtml "Can you tell me what P2P networking.exe and loadqm.exe are and why they keep trying to access the internet?" (just scroll down the page and see the thread) http://www.experts-exchange.com/Operating_Systems/Win98/Q_20863572.html I suggest you to install and run Spybot - Search & Destroy: http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd "Download Spybot-S&D": http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=mirrors I hope this helps you, if you need further assistance on this please use the clarification feature before rate this answer, I will be glad to respond your requests.
