Hello w00t -

Thanks for your question.

Just so I have it straight, you're looking for a subjective list to be
created of what I think are the most eyecatching/desireable saleable
names? How many are you looking for in each list?

Thanks,

jbf

There's actually quite a few that are catchy. How many are you
looking for? What is your target audience?

I plan on buying them and then reselling them.
Just want the most eyecatching ones that'll attract sellers really quick.
Reselling will be done anytime between 10 days from the time of
purchase to 6 years.
So basically the most desirable/eyecatching ones.
As many as you can add to the list.
As long as they are eyecatching.

Hello w00t -

Thanks for your question. I encourage you to bounce these picks off
others before embarking on purchasing any of them. Should you choose
to rate this answer, please ask for any additional clarification or
opinion you may require. Thanks for your understanding.

My opinion and general criteria for picking these names:

1) A domain can't be too long -- no-one wants to type
acceleratedinternetresourcesinc.com to get to a site.

2) A domain can't be too generic if referring to something specific --
schoolcommunity.org is probably not going to be wanted by Smallville
School Board.

3) A domain can't be too specific unless it's for some specific
organization or company -- interbrain.com will have no relevance to
anyone other than a company named Interbrain. If it hasnt been
purchased by Interbrain, there isn't a company big enough to care (yet
-- unless you have a good feeling that some company is going to come
along looking for that name).

4) In general, avoid names with hyphens -- too much effort to remember
whether or not the site has one. Some are OK, though, if they're
fairly obvious and memorable.

5) Avoid most .net's -- in my opinion, most of them are leftover names
from already-existing .com's. The .net extension is generally
reserved for ISP-type companies. I would think nobody wants a .net
that's already been taken as a .com. Too much confusion.

6) Most .org's should be nonprofit or community type names denoting
some kind of organization or cause.

7) Is there already a singular form of it? In most cases, a plural
version I would think wouldn't be too desirable.

Just a thought: You may try creating your own names (or having some
researchers take a stab at it). Then you can register them for a few
bucks and make a lot more profit if you hit a few good names.

Names with a "***" after them are ones I felt are of "elevated
catchiness/relevance."
