Question ID: 305368
I'm looking to make a major change in my life to create better
work/life balance for me and my daughter. This change may include both
a career change and a move. I'm a single parent and work full time, so
I don't have a lot of time to do research on my own. I think the
answers to my questions are pretty easy to find, I'm just hoping
you'll expedite things for me. I'd like answers to the following
questions:

1. list of top 20 public elementary schools in the US, in general, and
in the following States, in particular:

- Connecticut
- Massachusetts
- Vermont
- Washinghton D.C. and surrounding area
- North & South Carolina
- Northern California

2. List of the top 20 "best places to live" in the US in terms of cost
of living, lifestyle, diversity (including multi-cultural, not just
multi-racial) and education.

3. List of top 50 "Best Companies to Work For/Employers of Choice".

4. List of top 20 highest paying professions.

5. List of top 20 most successful small businesses (I may choose to
become self employed).

If there are not "top 20 lists" for all of the questions, please
provide whatever you can find. If there is additional information that
would be helpful I'd appreciate it. Right now, this "list of
options/alternatives" is a blank page that needs to be filled to make
a well informed decision so the more information, the better.

Thanks,

Wow!! Is that really true? That's all the top 20 highest-paid
professional categories make? **Really??* Astounding, I can't believe
it. An ordinary IC (individual contributor) at a high-tech coporation
in Silicon Valley places in the top 10--making more than podiatrists
and lawyers?? What kind of CEOs make only $107k? Where I work, the CEO
is 6 levels up from people who make $107k. Are these figures really
old?

Tweety2, better look at the schools in Cupertino, and see if you can
find anyone hiring development engineers or product marketing managers
or techical writers or testers at someplace like Sun or Cisco or
Intel. Ofcourse it does cost a little something to live here. Good
luck.
