The word sa/till/lity was used in a scientifc sense viewing with a microscope:
"Stains are easier to deal with than slides, than the H&E slides
themselves, because typically stains are either positive or negative
and typically there's not a whole lot of sa/til/lity." (maybe meaning
not a clear or distinct appearance, etc.?) Please provide spelling
and definition.

Could the word have been 'sectility'?

No. The phonetic sound is as stated: sa/till/lity
I think in the context that it might have meant without any doubt,
i.e., black and white (clear difference to show results as clearly
positive or negative).

Maybe the spelling is similar to: certility (phonetic) -- meaning certain.

This does not have to do with minerals. This is taking human tissue
and then using special stains to show results in various colors to
determine its properties as seen under a microscope.
Thank you.

I'm going to guess "subtility", essentially a variant of subtilty. I
can have a technical meaning of thinness or fineness. Here the
reference to staining leads me to think that the idea of "not a lot of
subtility" means that staining is strong where it "takes" and absent
where it doesn't, without much subtilty in between. The "b" is
effectively silent.
