The word sa/till/lity was used in a scientifc sense viewing with a microscope: "Stains are easier to deal with than slides, than the H&E slides themselves, because typically stains are either positive or negative and typically there's not a whole lot of sa/til/lity." (maybe meaning not a clear or distinct appearance, etc.?) Please provide spelling and definition. | |

I'm going to guess "subtility", essentially a variant of subtilty. I can have a technical meaning of thinness or fineness. Here the reference to staining leads me to think that the idea of "not a lot of subtility" means that staining is strong where it "takes" and absent where it doesn't, without much subtilty in between. Could you mean salinity? (the relative proportion of salt in a solution) The word in a common tounge twister like specificity. |
