vwongplay-ga,

I haven't seen worldwide figures, but for the United States, there are
DOLLAR SALES figures (no unit figures) for 2002 in the following
categories:

--music software

--sound cards and related hardware

--karaoke software

--hard disk mulit-track recording machines

--rack mounted processors

--multi-effect floor processors

--stomp boxes

--rack mounted samplers

==========

Would you be interested in these sales figures (remember, dollars
only) as answer to your question?

Yes, we are aware of these figures. They are provided to us from NAMM.
However, what we are trying to figure out is how many general purpose
personal computers are being used for music. We can estimate how many
by the number of sound cards that are sold for making music (not
soundblaster types), but that is just a guess. We are looking for more
exact numbers.
