Auxillary Power Unit (A P U) are used to fulfill electrical &
mechanical power need during starting, and during ground operations.
they are small jet engines with combination of motor and generator. in
some cases they are called no.1 engine. their power is dependent on
the aircraft(a/c) requirement and vary a/c to a/c.
