Hi! I'm about to buy a wedding dress from Saks Fifth Avenue in San Francisco. I've done a lot of research and found that this is THE dress and I've not found another place to buy it. I'm looking for discount information. I know that if I open a Saks card, I can get 10% off. Because I'm getting married in another state, I don't have to pay sales tax. I'm wondering if anyone knows of other discounts or promos. Do they ever have sales? I'm not getting married until September, so I can wait a few weeks if there is something coming up. But, I'd assume order sooner than later. Help much appreciated! Thanks! |

figuringitout-ga: There is a reference to an extremely-limited-time 15% discount that was available from Saks Fifth Avenue with a $25 donation made to a charity that they support: http://www.som.tulane.edu/cancer/keytothecure.html Of course, the discount could only be used during the 3-hour long fundraiser party. While it is likely that they would be repeating this offer this year, the timing is all wrong for you; the campaign occurs in September. |

Thanks for all the helpful (and some not so helpful :-)) insight. The dress is a Vera Wang. I've already tried to buy the sample (which nearly fits). But, they have to send it back to the Vera Wang sample sale - so they are not allowd to sell it. And, I've looked everywhere online to see if I could find it offered elsewhere, and I can't. I'm about to break down and do it. By opening the Saks card, I actually save a fare amount... But, it is an emotional decison and I'm busy rationalizing it. :-) |
