I need a website that provides demographic (race/ethnicity)
information on students in Kentucky schools (k-12, not higher ed). I
need to be able to find demographic information for a particular
school, not just a
district.

Dear elizabeth199,

Data on the ethnic composition of the students enrolled in every
school in Kentucky (and other states) is available on the website of
the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

Simply use their Search for Schools, Colleges and Libraries tool:
http://nces.ed.gov/globallocator/

After entering the data necessary for finding the school you have in
mind, you will get a dataset, including figures on Enrollment by
Race/Ethnicity in that particular school.

Hope this is what you were looking for!
Best regards,
Scriptor

Hi. Thank you, but this information only goes up to the 2001/2002
school year -- two years ago. I need current, not historical
information. At least for the 2002-2003 school year which was a year
ago, although ideally information that is current. I know that this
is possible to get for many schools in many states, but I've yet to
find out how to get it from Kentucky. Most states provide the info in
the individual school report cards, but not KY.

Dear elizabeth199,

I am afraid that the data provided by the NCES is the most up-to-date
information on Kentucky school demographics currently available. Even
most extensive additional research has not led to any newer
statistics.
Also, you did not mention the time frame you are referring to in your
original question.

Best regards,

Researcher provided me with historical data (two years old) and noted
"you did not mention a time frame in your original question" and said
more recent statistics don't seem to be available. I am sure that
they ARE available, and now I have paid for the answer to this
question and have to go out and find the data I need myself anyway.
Researcher should have asked for a clarfication if he/she wasn't sure
of the time frame, or removed answer once he/she realized it was not
what I needed.
