The loss through death of a child is the most devastating thing that
could happen to parents. The grief can be greater than when you lose a
spouse or your own parent. The cause of that grief is lack of proper
knowledge of "where" that loved one is. When we believe what the Bible
says about the subject and not what some religions teach, the grief
becomes easier to bear. Ecclesiastes 9;5 says " The living are
conscious that they will die, but as for the dead, they are conscious
of nothing at all. Psalm 146;4..His spirit goes out, he goes back to
his ground, in that day his thoughts do perish. Ezekiel 18;4..The soul
[complete person] that is sinning, it itself will die. All these
scriptures indicate that all persons, including children, have no
existence, anywhere, once they have died. Then God, through his son
Jesus, promised us the resurrection. He proved it by the account of
Lazarus ..John 11; 11-14... Lazarus our friend, has gone to rest. But
I [ Jesus ] am journeying there to awaken him from sleep . Jesus said
to them outspokenly " Lazarus has died". When this future resurrection
occurs, all parents who have lost their children will get them back.
This simple Bible promise goes a long way towards easing the grief.
The loving God of the Bible would never remove a child from its
parents, as some mainline religions claim, when they state at a
child`s funeral, God wanted this one in heaven to become an angel or a
star. This sort of comment from the religious leaders only makes the
parents hate God and turn away from Him. And are babies "sinners". Of
course they have not committed any wrongful acts themselves, being too
young, but again the Bible answers..Psalm 51;5..You know I was born
guilty, a sinner from the moment of conception. Genesis 8;21 Because
the inclination of the heart of man is bad from his youth up. And
Roman 3;23 "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". And
the final promise of God, found at John 5;28,29.." Do not marvel at
this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial
tombs will hear his voice [ Jesus`]and come out. Those who did good
things to a resurrection of life, Those who practised vile things to a
resurrection of Judgement. So all innocent children who die because of
accident or disease, can look forward to a renewed life. And what a
wonderful hope that is.
