What do you mean? When I do a Google search on these terms, the
search appears to function normally. What is about this query that
"doesn't work"?

You need a space before the minus sign that precedes 'locilento'.

I had a space. I just copied it wrong.

In what way does your search not work? What are you hoping to find?

I wasn't aware Google officially supported boolean searches (although
sometimes some boolean symbols do work on Google)
If I were you, I'd try it at http://www.vivisimo.com and I'd put some
quote marks around "micah montreal"

When I used this search I got no results. Everything was working fine
until I added the last "-" word. Then, from 100 results it went to
none.
