I'm looking to reconnect with a great game I played in my youth.
The game was called "Pocket Golf." It was available through the Parks
and Recreation Department in n Sacramento. You couldn't find these
in a store. I'm sure they must have been bulk purchased from a
manufacturer.

The board was maybe 4 by 3 feet, made of wood. The table was smooth
and painted. The game was placed on a table and you took shots like
you would on a pool table. There were 9 "holes" set at various stages
around the board. Only the Seventh was an actual hole, creating an
indentation on the board. The others were wooden borders with the
space for a one inch disk (like a checker, only wooden and slightly
thicker) to be shot into from a fixed spot on the board with a doyle
that acted as a pool cue. There was a "sand trap" and "water hazzard"
painted on as well.

Does this sound familiar to anyone.?

What I would like is to know if they are still being manufactured and
by who. I'd love some leads to Collectables or
auction site that have one currently for sale.

Thanks for you r ideas.

Hello.

It appears that this game is still being manufactured:

Pocket Golf, from tigerhawkgolf.com:
http://www.tigerhawkgolf.com/pocketgolf.html

Pocket Golf, from Atafa Sporting Goods:
http://www.atafa.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=AC-HM12500X&Category_Code=RGTAB

Pocket Golf, from esportsline.com:
http://www.esportsonline.com/SearchDex/22940.htm

--------

search strategy:
"pocket golf", "table games"

I hope this is the sort of game that you had in mind. If not, please
use the "request clarification" feature to let me know. Thanks.

Although this is not the exact game table I once played on, the
physical design is close enough to make me believe this may be the
original manufacturer and that the game went through design changes
during the ensuing decades. Ah, but if only things could be exactly as
we remember them from our youth.

Thank you juggler . This is exactly what I asked you for.
