I am confidently expecting to receive a Lunch Invitation from a very
important resident of Tulsa. (No it's not Gene Pitney.)
Now, it's ages since I've been to Tulsa and my memories are very hazy.
All I remember is a cab driver who had a refrigerator in his cab and
who invited me to have a drink. (No, of course it wasn't free.)
So, where to go?
And what to wear?
Being English, I suppose my top hat and morning suit will be OK but
should I wear spats, or not?
Some advice please, I don't want to make a fool of myself. |

Just a little clarification. Do you need an advice on the good
restaurants in the area OR the places of interest where you may go to?
Thanks.

Dear Bryan,
I have invited a Very Important Person to lunch next Sunday. Perhaps
you would like to join us. We will be having loaves and fishes, and He
may turn some water into wine if the mood takes Him.
If you'd rather make different arrangements, I can certainly oblige.
What's our budget? Tulsa has all kinds of dining establishments, from
Mom & Pop diners where you can get good eats for five dollars all the
way up to high-falutin' places where the price of a meal can be in the
hundreds, and you have to wear shoes or they won't let you in the
door.
Hmmm. Maybe a good old-fashioned catfish place would be just the thing.

Pink -
May I suggest S&J on S. Peoria for the finest seafood (and bar) in town?
