Hi, I have recently expanded by small business to incorporate a theatrical agency for children aged 8-18. I have sound knowledge of theatrical industry but not a great deal about the specifics of agency representation. I am seeking "advice" and information on "correct" or "accpeted" procedures in the UK (if different from US) on the general running and practices of an agency. A "step by step guide" offering advice on EVERY stage of the typical agents role would be PERFECT. For example. 1. Find audition (castweb, spotlight publications) 2. Send publicity (10"x8" shots etc) 3. Audition 4. Request license from LEA etc This information should include advice on who makes the approach for child licenses, and when? Who opens financial negotiataions and when? Who is responsible for creating and issuing the contracts etc? Is the cheque sent direct to the agent? How to get "closed auditions" as opposed to the standard "open ones advetised" etc etc As much general advice for agents and on the procedures as possible. I am looking for this information either in webpages or in a summary you are able to cut and paste. I do not wish to purchase a book on the subject, but to get the information instantly. The more detail the better! Many thanks! (Hope that was detailed enough) |
