Kay, so here is the quick run down: I've been worknig all night on
this NMR homework blibber-blabber. I'm on the last question and it
reads "Now consider the quartet in this spectrum that couples to the
triplety? (Note how these sets of peaks slant towards each other. This
is typical for coupled protons.) Give the chemical shift value for
the quartet and J value for this set of peaks. (Optional: you can
represent this data in splitting tree format)." The chemical we're
working with is propiophenone (C9 H10 O). My problem is that I can't
find anything in my book, on the class site, or online that tells me
how to do chemical shifts or, really, any of this part of the problem.
I understand the rest of NMR. I want to answer the question myself -
but I need the know how!

Am I doing something wrong? I don't want the answer to the homework,
just the how. I'll tip, too. An extra $5 if it's before midnight
CST. If I just wanted the answer, I'd use ACDLabs and get the answer.
I want the how. Help me!!!!
